With his global cruising experience, Sam has ample local knowledge of many locations around the world that he is always keen to share, ensuring a comprehensive holiday experience for his guests. An experienced seaman and captain, Sam knows how to make yachting a fun environment for guests and crew alike, and has a very good reputation for longevity amongst his crew.
Once on board EMOTION², you will find Sam very polite, friendly, knowledgeable and flexible to guests’ needs. With Sam, you will have an unforgettable charter experience!
2022 will be his 9th season on board EMOTION². Sam has won Captain of the Year from Burgess Yachts on 2 occasions.

Tim grew up on the east coast of Australia and served two years in the Royal Australian Navy. He has a wealth of maritime experience on vessels of all shapes and sizes. He has a total of 10 years in yachting. In 2021 he achieved his MCA Chief Mate qualification and he is working towards his Masters certificates.
Tim is in charge of the safety of all guests onboard, as well as coordinating operations on deck. If you have any safety related questions during your time onboard EMOTION² please do not hesitate to ask.
He is the RYA PWC instructor on board.
2022 will be his 7th season on board EMOTION².

Diana has 4 years of experience in the superyacht industry. Previously she has worked in the Fashion industry but her love for the ocean introduce her to yachting.
Throughout this time period she has enjoyed travelling to various parts of the world, accruing sea miles and an abundance of experience in hospitality and service.
She has Silver Service skills and holds a G.U.E.S.T Diploma.
Her aim is to provide an excellent service to those on board and a warm interaction with the guest.

Lou is a 26-year-old vivacious young lady from the Maltese Islands. From an early age the sea has always been her passion. Lou’s background has always been around the water due to her father’s powerboat and water sports business and being a stewardess on yachts allows her to merge her interest and passion.
She is always keen to learn about new cultures, travelling and meeting new people. Lou’s experience is acquired from a maritime school, where she studied for two years to be an officer of the watch. She has also worked in the family business since the age of 16, during which she was exposed to jet skis, fast power boats, and various other water toys and sports.
Lou also has her PADI open water diving course, her STCW, a Mixology and barista course. Lou loves making people smile with her delicious drinks and aromatic coffees. With all these qualifications under her belt you can rest assured that Lou will make your experience onboard a memorable one.

Oda grew up in a small town just outside of the capital of Norway, Oslo. After spending last summer living in Athens, she has once again decided to swap Scandinavia for the warmer Mediterranean waters this summer.
The majority of Oda’s working life has been working as a nurse in various departments, which has included assisting and handling different people from all ages and backgrounds. This has helped her develop strong people skills as well as improving her problemsolving ability which she is looking forward to bringing over to the yachting industry. Oda enjoys living an active lifestyle and her favourite activities include hiking, keeping fit and most importantly maintaining a healthy social life. 2022 will be Oda’s first season on Emotion2.

I’m from Portsmouth on the south coast of the UK. I have been in the maritime industry for about five years.
I come from a commercial background having spent some time on containerships and cruise ships. During my time on these ships, I was able to fulfil a long-time dream of mine by circumnavigating the world.
Growing up on and around the water, I enjoy most water sports. I am a particularly keen windsurfer, having done it from a young age. If the water is too cold (which it often is in the UK), you’ll find me doing downhill mountain biking at the local bike parks, trying my best not to crash. I’m a fun, easy-going person who is always willing to try something new, especially if it involves a bit of adrenaline or fitness.
I love travelling and exploring new countries, if you have any tips on exciting travel locations, I would like to hear them.

Jason was born in Zimbabwe and moved at the age of 11 to Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
He then completed his sports science degree, then decided to switch career to the yacthing industry due to his passion for the sea and active lifestyle.
He has been an outgoing, adventurous, hardworking, kind, helpful and friendly crew member since joining Emotion²
Jason has been working in the industry since 2015 and worked on a private vessel with a worldwide itinerary for 5 years. He has wide range of experience, knowledge and passion for learning and it is amplified by his passion for being at sea and keeping active.
Jason has a wide range of hobbies and interests which include swimming, paddling, lifesaving, surfing, golf, hiking, running, exercise, DIY and most passionately participates in tasting ice cream from all parts of the world.

Amy is from the United Kingdom but was born in Durban, South Africa. After finishing school, she became a makeup artist and has a passion for health and beauty.
She worked and lived in Australia for 2 years, gaining professional service experience and all the relevant knowledge needed to succeed in the yachting industry. She has travelled to different countries experiencing new cultures and cuisines.
In her spare time Amy enjoys keeping fit by walking and paddleboarding and she loves exploring new places.

Akis started his culinary journey in his home city of Athens. After finishing his studies at Le Monde Eau de Tourisme, he worked for 5 years in restaurants in Greece. To improve his skills and knowledge he moved to Belgium, working for one year in a fine dining restaurant at Brussels.
He joined yachting industry in 2015, working as a sous chef on a 50 meter charter yacht.
In 2016 Akis moved to a 133meter mega yacht where he worked for 6 years, cooking a variety of ethnic cuisines such as Asian, Arabic, Indian and Mediterranean. During that period he was cooking for the high society owners and guests such as prime ministers, actors and other prominent people.
Akis strives to deliver beautiful dishes onboard to satisfy all tastes and dietary requirements.

After following in his father’s footsteps to the marine industry, Elmar worked on ferries in the Philippines for two years. For the past twelve years he has worked in the yachting industry with most of this time being on charter yachts. This will help ensure that guests have a memorable time onboard EMOTION².
In his spare time Elmar likes to play basketball as well as listening to music and has recently begun learning the guitar.
Elmar has a passion for water activities in general and is sure to guarantee that guests have an unforgettable water sports experience onboard EMOTION².

Luke was born and educated in Durban, South Africa and is now based in Porto, Portugal.
Luke is the son of an Olympian, international lifesaver and 12 x world champion ocean kayaker, which has helped to instil in Luke the qualities of self-discipline, commitment and a passion for water sports.
Luke has been a successful commercial and industrial property broker in Durban and Cape Town, South Africa. Luke is an excellent communicator, enthusiastic, friendly and has a great sense of humour.
Luke has recently completed all his modules towards his Officer of The Watch and is looking to sit his final oral at the end of the season.
Luke’s hobbies include surfing, golf, Crossfit, swimming, running, diving, movies, great food and his true love coffee!
2022 will be Luke’s 5th season onboard EMOTION².

Alex was born in Athens, Greece. As a teenager Alex completed his national service in the Navy. During this time he gained an interest in the sea and decided to pursue a career in Marine Engineering in the Merchant Navy.
After eleven years in the Merchant Navy sailing around the globe and four years in the yachting industry Alex joined EMOTION² bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience with him.
In his spare time Alex likes to practice both SCUBA and sky diving as well as keeping fit. Alex has a passion for food and is always keen to sharpen his skills in the kitchen.
2022 will be Alex’s third season onboard EMOTION².

Apostolos was born in Kavala, Greece, and is married with 2 young daughters. From a young age he realised the love he had for engines and the sea. He decided to follow a career path and join the Merchant Marine Academy.
Following his academy certification and experience on global cargo ships, he decided to join passenger ships to pursue his career. He gained a wide range of experience and knowledge as a 3rd, 2nd, and Staff Chief Engineer.
However, he wanted to see more and 8 years ago he decided to join the yachting industry, starting off as a Staff Chief Engineer and then becoming Chief Engineer on board a 133m motor yacht.
In his free time, Apostolos likes to participate in various outdoor activities such as cycling and fishing. He has a stong interest in motorbikes.

Born in Kavala, Greece, Kyriakos from a young age realised the love he had for engines and the sea. He decided to follow a career path and join the Merchant Marine Academy.
Following his academy certification and experience on global tanker ships, he decided to join the cruiser ships to pursue his dedication and motivation in his career. He gained a ranging amount of experience and knowledge as a 3rd, 2nd, and Chief Engineer.
However, he wanted to see more and 3 years ago he decided to join the yachting industry, starting off as a Staff Chief Engineer on board a 133m motor yacht to begin with and leading him to a Chief Engineer position on board a 55m motor yacht.
In his free time, Kyriakos likes to participate in various outdoor activities such as cycling and fishing as well as having a very large interest for motorbikes.
